About the Artist
"I want the spectator to be reassured that something she values within herself has been touched and found a kind of correspondence. That being alive… is worth the labor."
-Clyfford Still
Michelle Voss is a Queer Asian-American artist based in Lausanne, Switzerland. She graduated from the University of Redlands with a study emphasis in “Medicine, Society, and Art”. She explores themes of mental health, vulnerability, dissociation, and identity.
Her art is created with the intention of eliciting an emotional connection from her viewers, to encourage the viewers to contemplate and discuss topics typically avoided by utilising a distractingly beautiful lens to capture the viewer.
